New York (United States), Dec. 24 (LaPresse) – Honda shares rose by 12.2% the day after the Japanese automaker announced plans to move forward with a merger with its larger but struggling rival, Nissan. The two companies stated yesterday that they had signed a memorandum of understanding and that Mitsubishi, the smaller member of Nissan's alliance, had also agreed to participate in the integration talks. Nissan shares rose by 6%.
