Frankfurt (Germany), December 19 (LaPresse) – "In the difficult situation faced by the automotive industry, in many cases globally but especially in Europe, it makes no sense to burden it with additional sanctions for failing to meet targets next year. This needs to be decided as soon as possible, and the Commission should therefore find a way to impose sanctions, if necessary, without affecting the financial liquidity of companies that now need to invest in electromobility and modern products and vehicles," said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz upon his arrival at the European Council in Brussels.
