Turin, Dec. 20 (LaPresse) – ‘I'm very disappointed’ that all but a couple of Democrats ‘voted against aid to farmers and ranchers, against disaster relief, against all these bipartisan measures that had already been negotiated and decided.’ This was stated by House Speaker Mike Johnson, after the rejection of the Trump-backed proposal put forward by the Republicans to avoid the shutdown, the freeze on federal payments. ‘I think it's really irresponsible of us to risk a shutdown on these issues, on things that have already been agreed upon,’ he stressed, ’we'll regroup, we'll find another solution.’
