Syria: Turkey, more than 25,000 Syrians returned after fall of Assad

Rome, December 24 (LaPresse) – Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that over 25,000 Syrians have returned to Syria in the past 15 days, i.e. since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime. This was reported by the Turkish news agency Anadolu. A total of 763,443 Syrians have returned to their country ‘voluntarily, safely and in an orderly manner’ since 2017, the Turkish minister said, stating that Syrians who want to return to their country can apply on the website of the Presidency for Migration Management and that they can take all their personal belongings with them. Yerlikaya then announced that a Migration Management Office would be established at the embassy and consulate in Damascus and Aleppo.
