Istanbul (Turkey), Dec 24 (LaPresse) – An explosion at an arms factory in north-west Turkey killed at least 12 people. Four others were injured. The explosion took place in the factory's capsule production plant, located in the province of Balikesir, Turkish news agency Anadolu reported. The governor of Balikesir, Ismail Ustaoglu, reported that the explosion caused the capsule production building to collapse and that surrounding buildings suffered minor damage. Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc wrote on X that four prosecutors have been assigned to investigate the causes of the accident.
