Tokyo (Japan), Dec. 26 (LaPresse) – Japan Airlines announced that it was hit by a cyberattack that caused delays to over 20 domestic flights. The airline assured that there was no impact on flight safety.
The attack, which occurred in the morning, caused delays of more than 30 minutes for 24 domestic flights. The company stated that further delays could occur throughout the day.
The attack coincided with the start of Japan's main travel season, as offices close ahead of New Year's, the country's most significant celebration, during which millions of people return to their hometowns for the holiday.
