Rome, 18 December (LaPresse) – The author of the murder of Russian general Igor Kirillov and his assistant is a 29-year-old Uzbek citizen who has been arrested. This was announced by the FSB, the Russian Federal Security Service. The man – according to a report by Ria Novosti – is said to have been recruited by the Ukrainian secret service and, following their instructions, came to Moscow where he received a powerful homemade explosive device and placed it on an electric scooter parked near the entrance to Kirillov's house. The official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Petrenko, said that the arrested man admitted that he had been recruited by the Ukrainian special services.
