Rome, Dec. 22 (LaPresse) – "The decision to keep Italian troops within the UN mission, despite Israeli attacks, was crucial during the war. Italian soldiers, more than others, built relationships with the populations in the south. We thank them and the Italian government for its unwavering support to Lebanon," Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati told Tg1. Regarding Hezbollah, Mikati stated, "For me, it is one of the political parties present in Lebanon. Perhaps it is militarily weaker today, maybe that’s true. But for me, what matters is the relationship I have with this party within the Lebanese government," Mikati concluded.
