New York (United States), Dec. 22 (LaPresse/AP) – The New York Police Department is investigating the death of a woman whose body was found burning inside a subway train. The woman’s identity has not yet been determined, and the circumstances surrounding the fire remain unclear. No arrests have been made so far. The incident occurred at around 7:30 a.m. today when officers patrolling the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station noticed the smell of smoke and responded. At the time, the subway car was stationary at the terminal. Subway car doors are often left open for cleaning or during temporary service pauses.
