Ukraine: Biden Calls Russian Missile Attack on Christmas "Outrageous"

Naples, Dec. 26 (LaPresse) – U.S. President Joe Biden has called the Russian attack on Ukraine on Christmas Day "outrageous," denouncing the launch of "missiles and drones against Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure." "The purpose of this outrageous attack," Biden stated, "was to disrupt the Ukrainian people's access to heating and electricity during the winter and to jeopardize the security of the grid."

Biden reaffirmed that "the Ukrainian people deserve to live in peace and security, and the United States, along with the international community, must continue to stand with Ukraine until it triumphs over Russia's aggression."

The U.S. president also emphasized that "in recent months, the United States has provided Ukraine with hundreds of air defense missiles, with more on the way. I have instructed the Department of Defense to continue deliveries of weapons to Ukraine, and the United States will continue to work tirelessly to bolster Ukraine's position in its defense against Russian forces."
