Milan, Dec. 27 (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a New Year’s greeting letter on December 17 to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, in which the Kremlin leader expressed his confidence that in 2025 the two countries will "continue to work closely to implement the treaty" of strategic partnership established after their meeting in June and to "further coordinate our efforts to address the threats and challenges of our time." This was reported by North Korea's official news agency, KCNA. "The meeting between you and me held in Pyongyang in June raised relations to a new qualitative level. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty, concluded following the talks, provides the conditions for substantial expansion of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in all key areas. I am confident that in 2025 we will continue to work closely to implement this historic treaty and to further coordinate our efforts to address the threats and challenges of our time," Putin’s letter to Kim, as released by KCNA, reads. "This is undoubtedly in line with the fundamental interests of the friendly Russian Federation and the people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea," it continued, concluding with wishes for "good health, happiness, and success" to Kim Jong Un and his family, as well as "well-being and prosperity" to the North Korean people.
