Turin, 28 September (LaPresse) – ‘I fought and fought and fought, and now I'm back to winning ways. Now I'm at peace with myself.’ These were Marc Marquez's first words after becoming a nine-time world champion, his seventh in MotoGP, six years after his last title. ‘It's very difficult to speak, I remember what happened but I want to enjoy the moment. Now I am calm, I feel peace inside me,’ added the Ducati rider, who finished second in the Japanese Grand Prix behind his teammate Pecco Bagnaia. ‘I have made big mistakes in my career, the big mistake of coming back too soon,’ he added, referring to his injury in Jerez in 2021.
