Rome, Dec. 17 (LaPresse) – ‘Salvini's leadership under discussion? I think it will absolutely not be under discussion. I think we have to think about what will be the best way for the League to have a new momentum'. So said Massimiliano Romeo, head of the Lega group in the Senate and newly elected secretary of the Lombard League, responding to reporters' questions outside Palazzo Madama. Romeo then responded on a possible change in the name: ‘Return to the name Lega Nord? These questions concern the federal congress that Salvini is preparing. The important thing is that we are all united'. The Lega Nord then outlined the strategy for the future: ‘Salvini is right when he says that there is no going back from the concept of the national League. But we have said that just as our parliamentarians from the centre and south talk about the centre and south, we in the north must talk a little more about the north. A federalist message'.
