Milan, Dec 17 (LaPresse) – Regarding the recent controversy surrounding Tony Effe’s participation in the New Year’s Eve event organized by the Municipality of Rome, the companies Friends&Partners S.p.A. and Vivo Concerti S.r.l., as the event's organizers, clarified the following:

“While acknowledging the Municipality of Rome's decision to cancel the artist’s participation in the event, and respecting the decisions of this institution and its governing bodies, we must express our deep astonishment and regret, as this decision was made without any valid justification, following an agreement between the parties and even after the official announcement and press conference that promoted Tony’s participation in the event.”

From its side, Pegaso Management, Tony Effe’s management, added, “It is clear that this situation has caused significant reputational damage to the artist, who learned what was happening only through news headlines.” Pegaso Management, “while reserving further consideration,” also stated that “it is undeniable that this matter has subjected Tony Effe to strong media pressure, potentially jeopardizing the image and career of one of the most relevant artists of 2024. He is an artist who, through his music, has been a powerful force of connection for many young people we have encountered over the course of this year.”
