Turin, Dec. 26 (LaPresse) – Zare Markovski is no longer the head coach of A.S. Estra Pistoia Basket 2000. "The club is working on reaching a mutual agreement to terminate the contract with the coach. The club thanks him for his commitment and professionalism over the past weeks," reads a statement from the Tuscan club.
The new head coach of Estra Pistoia Basket 2000 will be Gašper Okorn, born in Ljubljana on April 9, 1973, and currently the head coach of the Hungarian national team.
Coach Okorn arrived in the city this morning to oversee team practice. The club has started the necessary bureaucratic processes for his registration, but he will not be on the bench for Sunday’s game at 7:30 PM at PalaLeonessa against Germani Brescia.
