Turin, Dec. 26 (LaPresse) – Rui Borges is the new head coach of Sporting Lisbon. The coach, who replaces the dismissed Joao Pereira, has signed a contract until 2026.
"I am very happy, proud, and honored," Rui Borges said during his presentation, adding that he has "few words to describe the emotions felt in recent days." He expressed his enthusiasm and confidence, stating, "I am eager and ready to work. I have enormous trust. The future will be bright."
Rui Borges comes from Vitoria Guimaraes, for whom Sporting paid over 4 million euros to secure the coach’s release.
