Milan, Dec. 22 (LaPresse) – Best time for the Croatian Filip Zubcic in the first run of the giant slalom of Alta Badia, Luca De Aliprandini is 13th. On a gritty Gran Risa, Zubcic was able to interpret the variations of the Dolomite course in the best possible way to stop the stopwatch at 1'16‘08, with a margin of five hundredths of a second over the Norwegian Alexander Steen Olsen and 0’19 over the Swiss Marco Odermatt. At the foot of the provisional podium, in fourth position at the halfway point of the race was Henrik Kristoffersen (+0‘29) followed by the other Norwegian Timon Haugan (+0’44) with Marco Schwarz sixth at 0"69. Luca De Aliprandini tackled the Gran Risa with all the determination of the case, but a bump with his body in a bend to the right caused him to derail for a few metres and leave a few tenths too many on the course: after the first run he was thirteenth with a delay of 1"34 from Zubcic. Provisional 24th position then for Alex Vinatzer (+2‘04); delay of 3’11 instead for Hannes Zingerle and 3"16 for Simon Talacci who thus miss the access to the second heat, while Giovanni Borsotti and Filippo Della Vite did not complete the race. The second heat is scheduled at 13:30.
