Milan, 22 Dec (LaPresse) – ‘The results did not come out of the blue. I have worked hard over the last few years to be effective in the important moments. All the successes I have achieved this year are the result of what I have done in past years’. So said Jannik Sinner during a long interview with the French Tennis Magazine, which gave him the cover story with the headline ‘Top of the class’. ‘I thought I had become a great player when I broke into the Top 10 but I couldn't beat the best in the world, so I had to add something to my tennis,’ Sinner admitted as reported by Supertennis. ‘Bit by bit we managed to do that. When Simone Vagnozzi started coaching me, I varied my game more and even now we do a lot in training. In the match sometimes it works well,' he explained, ’sometimes not but in my head I know we are going in the right direction. Since mid-2023 I feel that all the pieces have started to fall into place, especially the serve, which has become an important weapon in the key moments of matches'.
