Milan, Dec. 25 (LaPresse) – Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the new owner of Manchester Utd, is reportedly thinking of contacting the two tycoons Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos to obtain funding for his project to renovate the targeted Old Trafford and create a sort of 'Wembley of the North. This is written by 'The Athletic,' according to which Old Trafford is one of the most iconic stadiums in the world and yet it is in a state of decay and in need of repair and renovation. But what that will look like and how it will be financed remains unclear. The prospect of leveling the ground, rebuilding segments and maintaining others as part of a museum are all revived concepts. However, the most important question of all concerned how the reconstruction would be financed, with the project likely to cost around £2 billion, more than the £1 billion Tottenham paid for its new home in London. According to 'The Athletic,' Ineos patron Ratcliffe thinks one of two world-famous billionaires might be tempted to invest in United one of the world's most successful clubs. The Athletic, however, writes that “it is unclear” whether these proposals ever got the necessary attention from the Tesla and Amazon bosses.
